Stephenson Blake foundry Sheffield

Broken window, repaired with factory parcel tape.

Three images from a look around the empty and abandoned Stephenson Blake foundry in Sheffield, before it was gutted and turned into yet more urban flats. The lack of any repairs for years was evident in the broken glass mended with bespoke sellotape, while elsewhere some comic had done a felt-pen face on an internal window to pose behind.  There are some more images from the visit on the site and details of what happened to the contents of the building, the last type foundry in Britain.
