From the cover illustration of Tower Bridge onwards, this is one I-Spy title which could largely still be in print today as every type of bridge in here could be spotted, though a few of the mechanical ones might need hunting out. In fact I’m tempted to pick up a spare copy and take it with me to see how long it would take to reach the necessary point level for a tribal ranking. The pages of vintage signs toward the back would be another matter, especially the one threatening transportation for life for wilfully injurying (sic) any part of a bridge. I only have the News Chronicle edition but the title lasted through until the final revamp of the series. “It’s fun to lean over the parapet and watch the water swirling below…” suggests Big Chief I-Spy in his introduction. H&SE were not around to comment.
