Another of the early style Airfix kit packages, this Tank Transporter was first released in 1962 using the line drawings and simple colours of the original range of kits. Whatever is cost to get this tooled was money well spent as the model is still in the range 50 years later. The cover was upgraded to a painted illustration the following year, and this too remains in use today. It wasn’t exciting enough for the American market though, and they opted to produce their own more dynamic box art! I don’t have this but the image below off the web gives an idea.
