I-Spy • Sports Cars

As with the earlier I-Spy Cars (book 16) this is a title which quickly went out of date. Most of the sports cars from the first edition were replaced for the second, while the Aston Martin DB 2 was upgraded to a DB4. Unusually for I-Spy they had to again update the book for the third edition, with the Jaguar E-Type arriving and the older Chevrolet Corvette replaced by the Stingray (“a very rare car indeed in this country, but keep looking!”).  My Corgi Toys version is about the nearest I’ll ever get.  They also replaced the old fashioned hill climb scene with a more modern cover. Together these three titles have a great selection of sports cars from the fifties and early sixties, most of which can only be seen today in car collections or vintage transport events.
