I rather like this some might say utilitarian design for a box of tissues. Simple, clean lines and nice lettering. Today so many packets seem to wallow in variations on plant leaves and flowers, that this seems very uncompromising in comparison. You might even say grown up. Turn it over though, and we’re straight into the realms of 1960s on pack offers with a genuine British nylon nightie for 15s 11d. Though even here I do like the roughly drawn illustration, complete with a polar bear skin rug of some sort. I’ve no idea how something like this survives for 60 years or so; in this house a packet of tissues is used up and then the box sorted into the correct recycling bin (flattened first of course).
